Gurwin’s award-winning Adult Day Health Program offers a full-range of services to our registrants, meeting their every need right here within the program. Our dedicated and caring staff knows how to adapt and adjust, helping each registrant have a great day, each and every day they are here! Services provide for your physical, social, and emotional needs, and include:
- On-site medical services including podiatry, dentistry, ophthalmology, audiology testing, laboratory, radiology and other medical specialties
- Occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy
- Nursing care and health assessment
- Expertise in Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Continental breakfast, hot noontime meals and snacks, and nutritional counseling and education is provided
- Social work services, including: psycho social, counseling, case management and support groups for both the registrant and his/her caregiver
- Physical activities like stretching, dancing and gentle exercise
- Innovative and exciting therapeutic recreation programs including: reality orientation, reminiscence, memory training and wellness programs. Social programs include arts and crafts, entertainment, games, movies, religion and discussion groups. Local trips are also planned.
- Monthly celebrations including holidays and birthdays
