More than thirty years ago, we realized our dream to build a nursing home on Long Island which would provide the ultimate in quality care for our parents and grandparents. Our Board of Directors mandated that we take a leadership role, be at the forefront of creativity and innovation and set the standard for all nursing homes and senior communities. In doing so, we have expanded from our original vision of a community nursing home and have created a full continuum of care, including skilled nursing care, world-class rehabilitation center, a renowned assisted living community, outstanding home care programs, including telehealth, and an award-winning adult day health program. We are also announcing plans for our brand new independent living community, Fountaingate Gardens.  Our newest venture in senior living offers much more than the typical Long Island retirement community, due to the safety net of healthcare services we offer, including high quality skilled nursing and rehabilitation care that are available when and if needed on the Gurwin campus.  Our breadth of healthcare services and years of expertise in senior care is what sets us apart from the rest.

We are committed to the art of caring, providing trust and comfort to those who place their loved ones in our hands. Our outstanding staff provides the highest quality care and constantly demonstrates compassion for each of our residents, hospice patients, adult day health program participants, home care patients and assisted living residents. Every staff member is imbued with a commitment to treat our residents as if they were their very own family member, and that feeling of genuine caring is part of what makes Gurwin unique.

When it comes to skilled nursing and senior living on Long Island, look to the trusted name for more than 30 years. Look for the community with the higher level of care. Please take the time to read about what makes Gurwin special.
