Our Gurwin Residents Need Your Support This Holiday Season

Help us Make the Holidays Brighter!

Giving Tuesday is a global day of charitable giving when people are encouraged to give back to their communities and support causes they care about.

This year, our goal is to raise funds for a specialized whiteboard TV with streaming capabilities to bring multicultural and intergenerational programming to members of the Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences assisted living community.

We’re extending our Giving Tuesday campaign throughout the holiday season, in the hopes that your generosity will help us achieve our mission: to enhance our residents’ quality of life through vibrant programming.

Delivering Real-World Experiences to our Gurwin Residents

The Vibe LifeTouch 65” Ultra High-Definition Television, currently in use by residents in Gurwin’s nursing and rehabilitation center, opens up a world of possibilities for our assisted living residents, from simple exercise programs, to far-away travel destinations to Zoom socialization activities, with visual and auditory capabilities for the hearing and/or visually impaired.

“The Vibe TV has been enhancing our programming in a multitude of ways, including for music-based, travel and cultural, and reminiscence and cognitive-based programming. One of the greatest uses has been in connecting our residents to their families through FaceTime and Zoom so they can participate – via a large screen – in family milestones, such as weddings, birthday parties, etc.”

“We find the Vibe TV to be invaluable in programming, particularly with our Memory Care residents.  From attending  virtual art classes and museum tours, to exploring Google Earth, playing games and attending concerts, our residents are benefitting from the many experiences the Vibe TV delivers.  In addition, the mobility aspect of the Vibe TV is wonderful, allowing us to easily relocate the device throughout different areas of the room for specific programming, and even outdoors.”
