Our full-time primary care medical staff consists of salaried, board-certified geriatricians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, complemented by an extensive staff of consulting specialists. This unique infrastructure enables us to diagnose and treat residents' chronic or acute conditions while, in most instances, avoiding the trauma and inconvenience of transfer to hospitals and other diagnostic facilities.

Gurwin's medical staff plays a critical role in the training of medical students, residents, and geriatric fellows, as well as physician assistants and nurse practitioner students. We also have an ongoing clinical research program which allows us to participate in pioneering therapies.
