Esther Milich

Esther has been a resident at Gurwin’s assisted living community for eight years. With a love of card games – especially poker – and a bag of change, she quickly found a group of friends who shared her favorite pastime. “I love to play cards,” she says, “especially poker!” The same group meets several times a week in the card room at Lindner Residences, playing cards and enjoying each other’s company. Does she win? “Sure, sometimes” she says. “We bet five and ten cents, so on a good day you can win a couple of dollars or even just fifty cents. If you don’t lose, you’re a winner!”
