The Mezzuzah Wall at Gurwin

The Gurwin Jewish Geriatric Foundation's mission is to support quality health care, services and programs for frail, elderly and younger disabled adults. Gurwin has earned recognition as one of the nation's premier providers of outstanding medical care in a caring environment. As we embark on our exciting future, and in order to meet the challenges of tomorrow, we encourage you to join us...and become a donor.

How can you help?

Support Our Building Fund - Your financial contributions will keep us at the forefront of speciality care and will enhance the lives of those who call Gurwin "home." We opened our new Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Resident Pavilion and Community Service Center in 1999, increasing our bed capacity to 460, and expanding the enrollment of our Adult Day Care Health Program to 120 individuals daily, six days a week. In 2001, we opened the Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner Residences, a 160-unit assistive living complex that provides residents with the comfort and security of their own apartment with medical assistance and companionship always in sight. Your financial contribution can be earmarked to specific areas reflecting your own personal interests.

Support Our Endowment Fund - Your gift will establish or support enrichment programs which enhance the quality of life of our residents. Your support will enable us to provide entertaining and stimulating recreational activities, evening cabarets, computer outreach for seniors, youth career awareness programs, and housing subsidy to those in need.

Support Our Tribute Fund - A gift that continues to give to others is truly the ultimate gift, and a donation through the Gurwin Tribute Fund will help us to continue that tradition of...caring for those who cared for us.

Your gift through out Tribute Fund enables us to create a home where quality of life is more than a priority, it’s our mission. By acknowledging a special person, a memorable occasion, an outstanding achievement, or honoring the memory of a loved one, you are supporting meaningful programs that enhance the quality of life for literally hundreds of individuals at a time in their lives when they deserve the very best. In addition, a commemorative card will be sent in your name.

Support Our Annual Fund - Your annual gifts and support of events such as our annual Leonard Ugelow Memorial Gurwin Classic – one of the nation’s top 10 golf and tennis events – or our other annual events will help to advance our programs and services and enhance the quality of life of those who depend upon us.

Support Gurwin Through Planned Giving - Planned Giving is a mitzvah. It is also a charitable gift in consideration of your estate and tax plans. Planned Giving is a way for you to support the Gurwin Jewish Geriatric Foundation with a commitment far greater than you may have thought possible. It allows Gurwin to provide care and caring far into the future. Depending upon the assets you contribute, the method you select, your personal situation and other circumstances, you can obtain an immediate charitable tax deduction, increase your cash flow or reduce your estate tax.

Wills & Bequests - A bequest in your Will is the simplest and most common method of making a planned gift. You can provide for Gurwin's future by including the following in your Will:

"I give and bequeath to the Gurwin Jewish Geriatric Foundation the sum of $_______, or ________ face value bonds, or ________% of my estate."

For the convenience of our donors, contributions can now be made by VISA, Master Card or American Express.
