Commack, NY— Entries are now being accepted for the Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center’s (Commack) Annual Photo Contest. Amateur photographers may submit a maximum of five entries, at $5 per entry, in the following categories: Landscapes, Travel, People, Pets, Children, Nature, Wildlife, Still Life, and Computer Manipulated. Photographs will be judged by professional photographers, and winners will be chosen based on clarity, composition, subject matter and suitability for display at the Center. Winning photographers will be awarded various cash prizes, and winning photos will be enlarged and permanently displayed at the Gurwin Center for the enjoyment of residents and visitors to the facility. The deadline for submissions is April 15.

This year, Gurwin is once again pleased to welcome The Tiffen Company (Hauppauge) as the contest sponsor. Tiffen is a leading manufacturer of glass filters and other fine products for digital, still, video, motion pictures and television, and their generous support enables Gurwin to continue to enhance the lives of its residents through the breathtaking photography that is shared each year by amateur photographers all across Long Island.
